I'm a PERSON!

I hate dealing with corporations/administrations/any "professional" office. They treat you as a case number/wallet to extraction money from. They're soooo chummy when you're there in person talking to them face to face but as soon as you walk out the door, you're forgotten except as visitor/case number so-so.

I'm a person! I talked to you before! I'm not a number! At the very least, don't act like you know me, understand me, and become chummy with me when I first meet you and then act stone cold and "professional" when I call you!!!

Shoes

Lately I've been ridonkulously busy. I want a vacation. I want to dress to impress, wear my heels, and go out shopping.

Speaking of heels, I don't know why, but I just really want a pair of purple heels. Right now, as far as style goes, I really love the designs by Steve Madden.

This last one isn't by Steve Madden - It's by Michael Antonio but I think they look awesome.

Working Woman

Wowzee....

I've been really busy lately. I just recently got hired at this lab and for the past week and half, I've been hard at work/training. It's only a seasonal job but luckily it's in Schenectady, Capital Region district, so that means I can move to Troy and let my mother take care of Ruqaiya during the day. Better for her to bond with grandparents and uncles/aunty than with total strangers at the daycare.

Also, thankfully, my working hours are 6am to 2:30pm so that means I have the afternoon to play and be with Ruqaiya too. Definite plus side.

However, so far I feel so exhausted from work everyday. Maybe the exhaustion will go away with time, since I'm not yet used to working full time. Every other job I've had was only part time, but full time work means a nice paycheck.

Opportunity Awaits!

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I'm so excited! I just received this call from a company in Schenectady to start working there. When they first called me, I was so blur. Totally not expecting the call since I just sent them my resume last Friday. And today's Monday! It's only a temporary position but there is opportunity to be full time staff. Not to mention since it's in Schenectady, it's totally better than the watershed job that I was aiming for in Saratoga (much farther away).

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I'm meeting them Wednesday and hopefully will be able to start working!!!!!

Teething Troubles

It's that inevitable time for every parent dealing with their baby. Yes, that crucially exciting but painfully tiring and frustrating time - teething.

Well, Ruqaiya has been "teething" for a while now. Her gums have been quite itchy since she was 4 months old and she just has to chomp down on anything that she can get her hands on. I've even seen her try biting the edge of the coffee table and the arm of chairs. But still, no teeth.

My hairbrush has become her favorite chew toy now.

Lately, however, it's been getting worse. Sometimes she just cries randomly and for a long time. All I can do at times is hold her while she wails her little lungs out for 15 minutes or so. Sometimes I can get her to swallow a little pain reliever, which I guess helps since she'll stop crying after a while. Sometimes she'll just end up exhausting herself from crying and just go to sleep. Alas! I felt a little prick on her gums, like the corner of an incisor. I even looked into her mouth and saw a little line/cut where it looks like a tooth is going to come out. Huzzah, at least the pain/itchiness/crabbiness is giving some progress.

I've read the first and last tooth is to the worse. Gosh, I don't know how I'm going to survive when her molars come out.
