We just got back from our roadtrip to DC and I would like to type about it. However, I'm suffering from a really bad allergy attack (runny nose, watery eyes, aching muscles) which normally lasts 3-4 days for me. Therefore, details about my DC trip will have to be postponed until I no longer need to wipe my eyes and nose every 30 seconds or so (hyperbole!).
(I miss English-writing related terms.)

Quiet Person
I like to share this article with you:
6 Misleading Assumptions You Make About Quiet People
There is a ton of humor interjected in this article, completely understandable since it is a humor website, however, it makes a lot of sense. I find myself agreeing with a lot of the points and by criteria of this article, I am a seriously quiet person.
So all you other people, read about us quiet people before you make assumptions.

Escape
I want to go somewhere far away.
I want to do the things that I've always dreamed of.
I want to fly and spread my wings.
I want to catch all the lost chances that slipped by.
I want to be defined as myself and not by association with others.
I want to be my own person.

Weening from Breastfeeding
I know that in my recent previous post I had been wondering about being able to breastfeed both Ruqaiya and the new baby. Unfortunately, my milk has now stop (for some pregnant women it doesn't and others it does at different times during pregnancy) and it's painful when Ruqaiya tries to nurse. I end up twisting my feet together in pain. So I'm pretty much forced to ween her off.
It's been 2 days since I've last nursed her. During the day it's somewhat okay. The tough part is at night because now we must find a new way for Ruqaiya to fall asleep. I've looked at several sites and forums for tips. Here are 2 articles that I found to be reassuring for us mothers during the process.

It's not instructions for a step by step process, but I found them helpful.

Return to the blog
After spending the whole summer working (which is the reason that I never updated since then) I am currently jobless again. So that means more time on the computer and updating this blog. Only temporarily. I'm planning to return to the lab in April/May of next year when the project starts again. Also....after I give birth to my second child. Which is the reason why I had to leave work (my supervisor and general manager were pretty sad to see me leave), since working in a lab while pregnant is tough.
Surprise.
Not even my second anniversary yet and I'm already expecting my second child. The baby will be a girl. Yay. Two girls. Umar's outnumbered. hehehe.
She's due early January. InsyaAllah Ruqaiya can get along with her well. Ruqaiya still breastfeeds and I'm not quite sure how to ween her off. I had planned on letting her nurse until she's ready to sleep on her own, since right now she only wants it when she wants to sleep. But now....with the new baby coming.
I wonder if I can nurse both girls at the same time?
